Hi, An implementation report needs to list the features in the standard, and those that have been implemented by the specific implementation. I suppose we should try to organize an interoperability test.
I will put together a list of features for each of the RFCs, and post a report template to the list. Sample implementation reports can be found at http://www.ietf.org/IESG/implementation.html dbh > -----Original Message----- > From: Balazs Scheidler [mailto:[email protected]] > Sent: Monday, March 16, 2009 4:30 PM > To: David Harrington > Cc: 'Rainer Gerhards'; 'Anton Okmyanskiy (aokmians)'; [email protected] > Subject: Re: [Syslog] syslog RFCs > > On Fri, 2009-03-13 at 15:26 -0500, David Harrington wrote: > > Hi, > > > > If the implementers are willing to file a report on their > > implementation, we can advance the documents to Draft Standard. > > The reports need to identify whether the implementations > support each > > portion of the relevant specifications - the header format, > the SDEs, > > the various security mechanisms, etc. > > > > If you are an implemneter willing to file a report, let me > know and I > > will help explain the process to be followed. > > > > If you are a deployer, and willing to file a report of your > deployment > > experience for these standards, we may be able to advance the drafts > > to Full Standard. > > > > I might be interested with syslog-ng.
