Hi all, After lurking on this list for a while and taking on board the pros and cons, I have just migrated my SE/30 from System 7.1 to 6.08.
I love the fast, clean minimalism of 6.08 -- it seems entirely suited to a compact mac like the SE/30. However there are a few apps I miss that I can't run on 6. I am looking at upgrading the 40MB HD in my SE/30 to a 250MB unit I have just acquired. Is it possible to run a dual OS disk with a System 6 partition and a System 7 partition? If so, what things do I need to bear in mind? Is there a way of choosing which OS/partition to boot from when starting up? Are there any drawbacks? What is the best (and freely available) disk utility to use to configure the drive? Thanks in advance for your help.
