Nope, unfortunately. I tried MPW from Apple's website for a while, but found it much complex, compared to THINK C 6, which is what I'm using. While we are on programming: the only versions of MPW which I have on hand run under System 7.x and later (7.5.5 for the one from Apple's FTP site and 7.1, maybe 7.0, for the one from CodeWarrior).
Has anyone seen MPW for System 6? If you need a version number, I can probably dig it up.
Byron.
I've tried to look for Lightspeed C (which is supposed to predate the THINK C series), to no avail. I initially thought I would have needed that to write code that could run without any problem on System 6, and earlier system, but THINK C seems to work quite well so far. Its libraries and include files do have some sections where they include the legacy definitions and advise you against using them in the more recent System versions, but you can still use them. On top of that, in the linkable libraries, you have 2 versions of a trap file to link: MacTraps and OldMacTraps, which probably ensures compatibilty with a Mac 512k (I'm willing to believe), perhaps even the Mac 128k.
So far, all the code I've written has been able to run on a Mac Plus with System 6, which is sufficient for me.
