It is a post script printer, and I do have ethernet eselected in the chooser. Initially I tried to set up netatalk on my linux machine to provide this printer. It does show up in the chooser when I do it that way. Unfortunately, it only gets as far as spooling to the printer with the linux machine.
I know the job gets to the linux machine because it spawsn another daemon to handle it. Anyway, I decided to activate ethertalk on the laserjet 4's jet direct card and turn off the linux apple talk sharing. Now it does not show up under the "Laser Writer" section of the chooser. Any ideas on how to get it to work would be much appreciated. Either succesful system 6 + netatalk configs, or getting the printer through direct ethertalk. I do all my word processing and such on my mac, and right now to print, I have to print to a post script file and then print that from a linux machine. I want to stop doing that :-) -Bob On Tue, 28 Sep 2004 01:57:46 +0200, Marten van de Kraats <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Is the network control panel set to ethernet?
