About the sad mac chimes,
is there a recording of this on the web? Specifically for 68000 machines. I don't recall hearing a sound whenever I saw the sad mac icon. Perhaps it was added in later ROMs. But if there was one, how could one force it to appear on a real machine? Just for curiosity's sake.

Here is a whole bunch you can download.

Hehehe... that's nostalgic and fun.

Yeah, I don't think any 68000 Macs had a Sad-Mac sound. My Classic didn't. You can cause a Sad Mac to appear by pressing the Interrupt button on the programmer's switch after you turn the computer on and before the Happy Mac appears. (At least, you can on a Classic...)
