One thing you could try:

Use any 1.44 Mb floppy disk, cover both holes with tape. Using the disk
drive in the Plus and format the disk as an 800k floppy. This will make it
usable in the Plus, then load the files you need from the Beige G3 (which
should have a compatible drive) on the disk that you formatted in the Plus
and transfer the files back to the Plus.
