Because the syntax of -H parameter is "[user@]host[:container]"
and it does not allow specifying an explicit port number.

[user@]host[:container][:port]
[user@]host[:port][:container]

Why don't you read manpages before replying?

because i don't expect problems for such simple things solved for decades in dozens of different software - see above - using a non-default ssh port is very common and host:port too
