Not talkin' bout fans or darkwing list lurkers. They don't have any money at stake.

Track & Field athletes who've been pulling down six or seven figure incomes, and their
coaches and assorted hangers-on have a lot at stake. Other professional sports stars
have even more at stake. Conte has a HUGE amount at stake. Why wouldn't some creep
that Conte doesn't even know call him up and offer his "services"? Kobe Bryant was
above board enough to immediately call in the FBI. Let's hope it doesn't progress to
hit men or gang bangers trying to horn in, or if they do let's hope that all parties
will choose to take the high road. But in today's violent society I'm no longer
surprised at anything.

Don't forget the allegations that a Russian mafia figure was behind the Salt Lake City
judging scandal. It's all about money.
