Maybe that is why I don't think qualifying times are unfair.
Anyone that thinks about Q-times is not what I consider a properly focused athlete.

I only thought about running as fast as I could. To think that your wife or anyone 
else for that matter is even thnking about time is mind boggling to me.(eg. if they 
changed the Q-time she would suck it up and try harder. ???) Maybe I misinterpreted 
your post, but I hear this sentiment often from many.
The only thing a person should think of is winning or being as fast as possible. They 
can move the Q-times anywhere they like, my effort would always be the same, Top end.
