It came to my attention recently that the Women's Steeple standard for the USATF Outdoor Championships is 11:00.00. Currently, there are 49 women on the T&FNews US List (http://www.trackandfieldnews.com/lists/lists2001/usoutw.html) from 4/26/2001 who have run 10:53 or better. Even better... we haven't even gotten into the core of the conference championships season yet. So, how will USATF and the meet management handle it when 60+ women qualify in the Steeple AND show up to run it? Right now there are only a prelim and final on the schedule.
