Hello everyone.

I was wondering if anyone knew of any 14:30-14:50 type 5k guys or 3:50-3:55 
1500 guys in their early 20s in NYC who are not part of a "club" and may be 
interested in joining one.  I would like to start a training group where I 
would essentially lead in coaching, organizing outings to meets, practices, 
etc.  The goal would simply be to get as fast as we physically can.  They 
would have to be willing to work hard, have the basic philosophy of a lot of 
threshold work for long spans of time and constant decent mileage (70-100 
mile weeks).  They would also have to be comfortable being "coached" by one 
of their peers, but should also realize that that "coaching" consists of 
constant communication between athletes with similar goals.  If anyone on 
the list is interested, or knows someone who is, please forward them my 
address.  Who knows what a modest group of even 4 people can eventually grow 
to?  If anyone has any experience getting a group together from scratch, and 
has some suggestions on how to go about it, please let me know.  Thank you
