I just bought a Samsung R225 off ebay. When we power it up we get a
message "Phone is locked. Enter password." Can't get past that screen.
Tried 0000 and 1234 at T-mobile's suggestion. Doesn't work. It is
apparently the phone itself, not the SIM card that is locked. Seller
doesn't know -- said they never set a password. Called Samsung --
they said to send it to them or take it to T-Mobile store and they can
"flash" it. Took it to T-Mobile store. They say only way to clear it
is to get original password from seller. There has to be some other
solution. I have the original SIM (account is inactive) as well as a
new SIM.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!
