I've been very happy with my A630. I don't get nearly the volume of emails that you refer to so I haven't run across the issue of too many to download.
For the viewing of more than one phone number per contact, set the view of contacts to "All Contacts" instead of Primary. For my handset I see more than 1 number per contact with that setting. ------------------------ Yahoo!
