As of 5/15/05 you can now request a backdated rate plan change (upgrade or downgrade). You may only back date to the beginning of the current bill cycle. You must specifically request a back dated change. Unless you request it, a change will occur on your NEXT bill cycle. You should call my midnight Eastern time of the last day of your bill cycle if you want it to be backdated.
You may also request back dated feature changes (like Mobile to Mobile, Free Nights, etc). Otherwise features are added within 2 hours of your request. There are a few scenarios in which you can't back date to the begining of the current cycle like a mobile number change, an account type change, or a billing account number change.
