I think the decision isn't that hard... If you need reliable, always-there email, go with a Blackberry. If you're concerned with the "coolness" factor of Blackberry, go with a 7105 or something similar. Note that generally, the voice quality of the full-keyboard BBs isn't great; this has gotten a lot better on more recent devices. Note that current BBs don't have a camera and have no voice recognition (limiting the use of Bluetooth handsfree devices).
If you want a generic messaging device (SMS/MMS), insist on having a camera, but email is not your primary use-case, go with the Sidekick. Since I've never owned one, I can't comment on VR (don't think it has any), Bluetooth, or voice quality. Personally I'm using a Blackberry 7130 (Cingular branded but running with my T-Mobile SIM). Although your mileage may vary, I have no problems with the "SureType" keyboard, except that I miss a Spanish and Dutch language pack to easily type messages in those languages. I think the software is a huge improvement over the 7100t that I owned before. --Ramon On 7/14/06, [EMAIL PROTECTED] <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > I use to think just like you but gotta say the bb 8700 rocks..change > Sent from my BlackBerry(r) wireless handheld > > > -----Original Message----- > From: "tombk11360" <[EMAIL PROTECTED] <tomb%40tmail.com>> > Date: Sun, 30 Jul 2006 01:44:48 > To:[email protected] <T-Mobile-US%40yahoogroups.com> > Subject: [T-Mobile-US] Blackberry vs Sidekick > > All my friends have Blackberries.
