You can attach pictures however there are size and image type limitations. Stick with the usual jpg, gif and bmp and you'll have the most success. Audio is a bit trickier but you can send midi and amr files fine. Forget about mmsing yourself MP3s or other audio file types.
T-Mobile's official MMS size limit is 300K but if you are finding the file is being dropped resize the image to under 100K for better results. T-Mobile MMSC resizes the images to the max screen size of the phone anyway so you aren't benefiting by sending a larger file.
