The most recent word from the CEO is that they will have 3G this year in
several markets. We already know they have deployed 3G over 50% of the NYC
area according to previous press releases. Of course, none of it really
matters until the release of AWS capable handsets.

Anyone with inside scoop on when this will happen? Contract ready to 
expire, been a customer since 2002, but ready to port my number to 
Cingular since I am already using Cingular Blackjack with unlimited 3G 
data plan but no voice plan. Once you experience HSDPA speed, EDGE and 
GPRS seem so outdated and slow...
