Hi Matt... What's even more interesting is that every wired headset I have tried works fine until I receive a call, then the person on the other end can't hear me. If I unplug the headset and plug it back in, it works fine again until I receive another call. Whenever I plug the headset in, stereo or mono, I can make all the out going calls I want and it works fine until I receive a call, then the person can't hear me. I have tried several different headsets and they all work fine until I receive a call. So I know the headsets do work. The only reason I wanted a different headset is because the one that comes with the MDA has very flimsy wires and break easily. At least the supplied headset works but it would be nice to have other choices.
I went to the T-Mobile store where I bought the phone yesterday and talked to them about the problem and they gave me a spare identical headset for free and told me to call T-Mobile and have them replace the phone since it's still under warranty. They have never heard of the problem I'm experiencing. The store wouldn't replace my phone or even open a new one and see if the new one does the same thing.
