But if you read the article it says that if and when this happens it will be 
down the road a bit.  People talk about this acquisition as if it's going to 
happen next week.  If the acquisition is approved it's going to take at least a 
year to become part of AT&T.  When it does the switch from using the AWS band 
as T-Mobile's 3G to using it for LTE is a few years off.  You don't really 
think that a company is going to leave their customers high and dry do you?  
More than likely they will offer new compatible equipment to those who are now 
using T-Mobile AWS 1700 3G.
