** This is the quasi-official and semi-temporary T13 email list server. ** I am going nuts with 48-bit DMA now....gurrr. 28-bit everything is cool, less tag and av. 48-bit pio and multimode is cool, less tag and av. Currently I do not support tag or av. Is there a different data-phase for setup and handling required for 48-bit DMA? Has anyone gotten 48-bit DMA running? Here is the fun part, one the first command is issue the device just goes into busy and cooks. Since I am positive that I am restricting it to a 128 sectors of transfer, and if I issue a buss intercept reset via the driver, I get control back. If falls out of DMA and retries in PIO and success. Now I aware that if 0 is punched into the command in 48-bit, I get 32MB per request. Here is the best part, I can issue a system command to toggle between 28/48 modes during a transaction (of course it only becomes effective upon the completion of the current request), but it will run just fine. Any ideas gang?
