I'm pretty sure I'm seeing a regression from upstream. I lurk on the xorg development mailer, and I know the developers aren't that concerned with maintaining Kdrive (XDM is also unmaintained--yikes!). I'll take a stab at getting a patch together to make Kdrive work.
