I went crazy setting up every config file that the Rock Linux page
mentioned, and I still am not having any luck.
Sample session output:
root# cat /etc/conf/network
auto eth0
interface eth0
dhcp
root# cat /etc/conf/network-profile
default
root# cat /etc/net/ifaces/eth0/profile
BOOTPROTO=dhcp
root# cat /etc/network/config
auto eth0
interface eth0
dhcp
deny all
root# cat /etc/network/profile
auto eth0
interface eth0
dhcp
deny all
root# ifup eth0
Interface/profile matched: eth0(default)
root# ifconfig eth0

root# ifdown eth0

Nothing to flush
dhclient: no process killed
root#
I did confirm that dhclient is present and is actually on the default
path for the root user. Still, it isn't getting launched for some
reason.
Are there any obvious problems in what I've shared (other than some of
the scripts being in redundant places)? If not, where else should I be
looking?
