8.0 is vastly outdated and deprecated.

9.0 is not incomplete, and 3.19 and 4.14 are not stupid errors. One is for the
kernel ABI and as we want some compatibility and be able to mix installations
of new T2 builds with older hardware, kernels, updates, etc. the user-space
ABI headers must always be a bit older. And this is not outdated, or a bug,
they only define the ABI structures, sys call numbers etc. it is a feature -
somewhat related:

If you want to install a new T2 build on an older SPARC, PowerPC or even
x86 embedded board where the current kernel does not boot, and you use
a slightly older one for a test, you will appreciate that all the user mode
application still work, and not error out due to unsupported kernel, ...

I suggest to send patches early and often. Otherwise chances that you
get stuck and all the changes get lost or such are high. Also I will probably
not waste my time reviewing monster chaos patches. the other day I saw
what crap I accidentally committed from all the added Puppy package changes.
Yieeks.

Send early and often.
