I downloaded
  http://dl.t2-project.org/binary/2019/t2-minimal-musl-clang-x86-64-r48750.iso
and inspected it by
  xorriso -indev t2-minimal-musl-clang-x86-64-r48750.iso \
          -report_el_torito plain -report_system_area plain
which reports
xorriso : NOTE : No El Torito information was loaded
xorriso : NOTE : No System Area was loaded

This means that no x86 boot equipment was added to the ISO.

For comparison: t2-minimal-glibc-gcc-i586-r48710.iso shows legacy equipment
for CD/DVD ("El Torito boot img : ...") and USB stick ("grub2-mbr"):

  El Torito catalog : 192 1
El Torito cat path : /boot.catalog
El Torito images : N Pltf B Emul Ld_seg Hdpt Ldsiz LBA
  El Torito boot img : 1 BIOS y none 0x0000 0x00 4 193
  El Torito img path : 1 /boot/grub/i386-pc/eltorito.img
  El Torito img opts : 1 boot-info-table grub2-boot-info
  System area options: 0x00004201
  System area summary: MBR protective-msdos-label grub2-mbr cyl-align-off
  ISO image size/512 : 793652
  Partition offset : 0
MBR heads per cyl : 64
MBR secs per head : 32
MBR partition table: N Status Type Start Blocks
  MBR partition : 1 0x80 0xcd 1 793651

Same with t2-minimal-musl-x86-64-r47636.iso.

If the r48750 ISO was made with grub-mkrescue, then i would assume that no
directories (/usr/lib/grub/)x86_64-efi and (/usr/lib/grub/)i386-pc were
present when grub-mkrescue was run.

Have a nice day :)

Thomas
