Well, I saw the reason and it seem the FCOMMON-flag is not working
yet ;)

It should since:

        * no longer patch gcc to default to -fnocommon, instead:
        * added new FCOMMON Flag
        * flagged cpio FCOMMON

Maybe cpio was not yet flagged at the time you build, I finished a
minimal-desktop build last night.

It was flagged, I checked. In stage 0, the flag was *not* passed on into CFLAGS, causing it to fail. So if the system compiler still has the fcommon-patch, it would work as you experienced.

But I sent a patch that fixes this issue earlier today. The variable that causes the problem shouldn't have been there in the first place, according to the patch.

On a side note; It seems the minimalist mailing list manager sends out emails as the original sender, causing lots of bounces for domains with strict SPF-checks. These bounces are sent to the original sender, a few examples:

host smx1.web-hosting.com [162.255.118.62]: 550 144.76.154.42 is not allowed to send mail from freedom.nl. Please see the SPF record, with scope mfrom, identity gra...@freedom.nl, and ip 144.76.154.42 SPF fail - not authorized. 550 freedom.nl doesn't allow sending mails from 144.76.154.42
