Hello,

I just wanted to report that yesterday I encountered the same problem with the 22.5 ISO, so thank you for pointing this out, I tried the 21.11 image and the install is working fine now!

It seems that the 22.5 installation is also missing libc and this makes it impossible to chroot into the final system to try and fix the issue.

Kind regards

Hi NoTag,

thanks for the answer and help.. I just downloaded the 21.7 version as suggested, and after the package install step the dialog for the fstab opens, which did not for me with 22.5..
I am confident, this will now make some difference:).

Just a quick reply, will consider the Discord later after having progressed a little more.

Thanks again and cheers,
Clemens

Hello Clemens,

trying to get started with T2 and used the 22.5 iso with Qemu 6.1...

Welcome! :-)

After the installation and unmounting /dev/sda1 and power off and
restarted with the created 15GB raw image, as the title says, can't
get it running in Qemu past the "Booting from Hard Disk..." message.

Ah indeed, I see the same message. There might be an issue with our
grub build in that iso or something.
We will look into it and try to publish fixed isos soon.

If there are older images, like the one used in the 2017 video, I could
try that as well.

Yes, older images exist here: <https://dl.t2sde.org/binary/>
Check the 21.7 images <https://dl.t2sde.org/binary/2021/>

Just don't have VMWare (or Virtualbox).

We only use Qemu ;-)

The mailing list hasn't be very active for a while because people
migrated to livechat solutions nowadays. There is a very active
discord channel that you can join (if you don't mind it).
Here is a link that should get you there: <https://discord.gg/c5sp7UWe>

Many thanks und beste Gruesse,

Clemens

Have a great day,
