It's perfectly OK to disagree!  As for the Dead Sea Scrolls, they were 
definitely not made public for a Very Long time.  I subscribed to "Biblical 
Archaeology Review" magazine for some time, and you would not have believed 
the brouhaha that was going on for ages about this.  It was the editors/some 
of the folks involved who finally forced the issue and got everything 
published.

As for the Oseberg textiles, yes, there has been some publications of some of 
the stuff, but no in-depth analysis of hardly anything at all.  We still, 
after over 100 years, do not know what was warped on the 52 tablets.  We do 
not know the setts or threads or or or of the silks.  This has all been 
finally analysed by Prof. Nockert et al in Sweden and was supposed to be 
published a year ago ... but nothing has appeared yet.
