<< Has anyone ever tried using tapestry yarn for card weaving, like Paternyan 
persian yarn, is that yarn tightly spun enough to use for card weaving or/and 
strong enough to take the tension & twist? >>

Jessica, I think it would depend on whether you used it full-strength at 
3-ply or not.  I personally prefer to stay away from wool for TW, but you 
might want to try it just to see how it feels/works/looks.  Some of the very 
earliest brocaded TW bands are missing their warp, and it is probable that it 
was a very fine wool thread which has since disappeared.
