Internet Explorer tries to be too clever for its own good (and your good, too!) and shows the pattern as a text file. I don't know whether Netscape does the same, our proxy server won't allow Netscape to work. ?^$@# Miscrosoft! Ok, enough ranting. :) The easiest thing to do is to right-click on the pattern link and selecting 'Save Target As'. This should save the pattern as a file with a .gtt extension; you can then use the 'File | Load' option in GTT to load the pattern. Alternatively, if you've already clicked on the link and have the pattern in your browser as simple text, go to 'File | Save As', and select 'Text File' as the type. Unfortunately, IE again thinks it knows more than you do and automatically appends a .txt extension, no matter what you do. So after having saved the file, you have to go and manually change the extension back to .gtt. My opinion of Microsoft will remain unsaid. If you still have problems, let me know. Cheers, Eckhard.
