Someone on the list -- thank you! -- mentioned recently that there are actually square playing cards commercially available which would be perfect for tablet weaving. I just did a Google search and found that yes, indeed, these do exist, are 2-3/4" wide, and cost $5 a pack (different sites offered different prices, so shop around).
