Dear Everyone,

Some of you may have seen my article in the Nov/Dec issue of Handwoven magazine "Tablet Weaving with Children", which showed pebble weave bands woven by girls in the Laurelhurst 4-H Club. I recently finished a new booklet "Two-Hole Andean Pebble Weave", which is a follow-up to this article.

The booklet is intended for ages 10 and up, and includes instructions for warping and weaving; graphs for several traditional designs; an alphabet; and the graphed words peace, love, smile, weave, laugh, sing, dance, and play. All of the graphs are for 16 tablets,.

I learned the technique from Marijke van Epen, who analyzed the structures of Andean weaves and figured out how to weave them with tablets. Thank you, Marijke!

Please e-mail me privately if you would like more information.

Take care,
Linda
