Lurkers of the World Unite!
Me too. I tried a couple of questions but didn't get any response, so just
enjoy reading and clicking on those great links, which are learning
experiences in themselves. And this is where I learned about Weavershand
and Twist.
My husband also made me a "loom" to my directions. Tablet weaving seems to
have the widest variety of ways of mounting it of any weave form. Mine was
a combination of two people's ideas, and works for me.
No-one has mentioned the other list before. I looked at the link and it
looks complicated to get on, but maybe people are right and one list is
enough. After all, a lot of what's on this list seems to be historical, and
nothing wrong with that; it's fascinating. Linda seems to be the only one
really pushing the boundaries in structure though, and Candice seems to be
using the weaving in non-traditional ways.
Show me I'm wrong, please.

I too am a lurker, new to TW, so don't feel I have much to contribute yet.
I am also on the SCA list and find it very useful. My husband and son made
me a TW loom just to fit me that doesn't require me being "tied" to it. I
didn't mention it on the SCA list though, because it wasn't period.
However, I will take a photo and post it here soon. It's so comfortable to
use and when the phone rings, I don't have to choose between not answering
it (we do have an answering machine) or getting tied up trying to unbuckle
myself!
I think this list is worth keeping if it doesn't require too much of your
time to do so. I'll try to be more helpful too.
Sharon
It seems that our list is not active any longer and I am wondering if we
should close it.
