Thank you very much for the loom and the tip on warping. I'm not a woodworker, nor is anyone else I know, but the idea of using the bolts covered with PVC pipe is a good one--and we do own a drill. If I decide to try an inkle loom, I'm definitely going this cost-effective route first.

total cost of wood and loom was something under 25$..
most of that was the 12 or so 3/4" bolts at almost a
dolar a peice.... but it has been worth it.
I have found it not worth my while to warp cards on
the loom.... I warp the cards, and then thread the
weaving on the loom, then tie the ends of the warp in
a circle.
