Hi Magdalena,

Lisa was responding to my query/musing about the Picts using tablet weaving as a technique to stabilize their twill woven fabrics while on the warp-weighted loom.

I guess my question could be refined to the following:

Would it have been more likely that the Picts would have used tablet-weaving as a means of stabilizing the weaving structure of their twill fabrics in process, or would they have used a simple tabby weave, much the way that 'modern' weavers do on their horizontal looms?
