I have used those flexible cable covers you use to hide computer cable messes
over a wood dowel. The spiral grooves in the flexi hose are perfect for laying
in the threads for the cards.

Hi all,
I just finished a workshop last week introducing tablet weaving
using an inexpensive loom and found to my surprise that although a wide-toothed
comb works very well to spread the warp when you are using 36+ cards, it
doesn’t work very well with 10 cards. I seem to remember that someone was
using a couple of dowels to spread the warp (Ellen Shipley?) but I can’t find
the details on this.
Could someone point me in the right direction for this, or perhaps
there might be other inexpensive ways to do this using found objects.
Thanks in advance,
David Wilson in Illinois
