Since we've waited so long and fixed so many things I'd like to change
alpha-7 to beta-1. I'd also like to release it this weekend. There are
a couple things that need to happen first though:
- ) Finally add the new functionality to FieldObserver
- ) The AjaxSubmit page still has css/div problems for the
highlighting effects.
- ) The exception pop open window is very very nice, but I think it is
an exceptionally(hah..) critical component and so needs to be nearly
as perfect as possible. Any css styling/dragbar window that needs to
be done to make it look better should be. It will make or break tacos
in many cases I think. Or at least save us some support requests when
people don't know what's going on.
-) The debug console is almost perfect, there's one scenerio where I'm
seeing weird styling going on, dragging the resize handle seems to
always fix it so I'm starting to wonder if the FloatingPane items
mentioned earlier aren't contributing to this.
I think these are the only critical items preventing a release. We can
start with a "quiet" release first, and then when the
documentation/demo war are deployed and all up to date I'd like to do
another little round of marketing/announcments for it. Hopefully this
release will give us some more breathing room. That's what I hope
anyways...
Sound good?

Sounds good. FieldObserver's is the only block for me ;). After that,
and if no one has an objection, I'd like to refactor the demo to be more
"4.0ish". What do you think ?
