Besides riverbanks are tagged as "waterway=riverbanks" which will lead to problems when one day routing on waterways will be possible. Therefore I and others have switched to mapping rivers as water with "natural=water" and not use riverbanks anymore.In any case, for routing it is better to keep a way waterway=canal in the middle, no?Wyo
