Definitely. I think the voting process actually serves a purpose in
attracting attention to a proposal, and building some consensus. And
that means it can turn up issues you hadn't anticipated, like in this
case.

So let's consider the voting process a voluntary mechanism for
increasing confidence in the soundness of a particular tagging
proposal.
