interestingly drinkable is mostly used for water that is NOT drinkable: no 1614 68.80% yes 689 29.37% while drinking_water is mostly used for drinking water: yes 296 44.85% no 230 34.85% Yes 78 11.82% so if the question would be "which tag is used to indicate water suitable for drinking" it would be not even double the use for drinkable compared to drinking_water. All of those are still not very much in absolute numbers (e.g. there are almost 30000 fountains in OSM and 3.5 M natural=water), so I think we should choose the better and try to uniform wiki and editor presets. Or decide that drinkable is not the same as drinking_water (but then the "drinkable" key would at least merit its own wiki page instead of being hidden on the fountains page).
