Why we have aerialway=platter or T-bars? Maybe the same reason we have building=house, building=residential, building=garage, building=industrial, etc. when we could just tag them all building=yes. They are different forms of a drag lift and the difference has significance to many people.
If you do not know or care about the difference, then tag them aerialway=drag_lift (the generic) but please don't change the existing ones that state exactly what they are. Others do care. -Tod On Jan 23, 2014, at 11:13 AM, remont...@free.fr wrote: > So we return to the top of the problem, why we have aerialway=platter or > t-bars ???!!! > > > 2014/1/22 yvecai <yve...@gmail.com> > Thing is, you can expect the average mapper to map an aerialway=drag_lift, > but you can't expect every average mapper to distinguish between xyz-bar, > platter, rope tow by reading the wiki toroughly. > Drag_lift is the default and general tag for lazy mappers for lifts where the > user is dragged. > > See it like a note=fixme if you want. > > Yves >
