Over the past few days there have been a number of wiki edits (mainly but

page without any response.

Is there any justification for these edits?

Regardless of anyone's opinions on what the best way to map these features is, both ways of mapping are extremely widespread. It's not appropriate to mark a widespread mapping practice as incorrect without community-wide discussion, and as far as I know no such discussion has happened.

Therefore, in my opinion, the wiki changes should be reverted.

P.S.: If someone *does* want to start a discussion on that topic, it's one I'm interested in.
