It has been suggested to use the location=roof or location=rooftop tags to map things that are on top of a roof. Mapping a rooftop parking? amenity=parking + location=rooftop A rooftop fence, to stop you from falling down from the parking grounds? barrier=fence + location=rooftop A rooftop waste basket, used by the people parking there? amenity=waste_basket + location=rooftop I personally like the idea. But just to make this clear: In very simple cases (some plants and nothing else), I would still suggest using roof:material. But your example sounds more complex than that. _______________________________________________ Tagging mailing list [email protected] https://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/tagging
