+1 in OSM you can also expect incomplete data, someone starts mapping something and then leaves it for someone else to complete it. Someone might map just a part of a roundtrip route. She could already tag on the relation that the route is a roundtrip without this being already recognizable from the route geometry on the map. Cheers, Martin
