I suggest new tag to tell map render to draw the node name with a specified rotate angle not horizontal. We need this for some seas like Red Sea, and Suez Gulf in Egypt.
Also some african countries like Togo and Benin will be best if its names are drwan with rotate angle. Also Somalia name will be better if drawn with 45 deg. Simply we can add: rotate-angle=45 Or label-rotate=45 hubaishan حبيشان
