That's also important, of course, but not everything that exists is or should be mapped.

Do you know why circus tents are not mapped, although they exist? Because they are not permanent or, at least, durable enough to be considered a mappable element. Existence is important, if (and this is is also one of OSM's good practices) it's relevant enough to be present in the map in one, three, six months from now.
