Bah, you're in the avail, you're a committer :)

I'm +1 to the JDC submission. As with the other replies, I know sod
all about voice applications (I read an article in DDJ once on it, and
did the test voice thing with some free number), but I like the
thought of a new taglib with very different goals to JSTL.

Currently most of the taglibs are competitive or tightly-complementary
with the Standard taglib, which I think is one of the causes of the
stagnation. Competition with standards is boring.

While the Taglibs community might not be too interested, Commons shows
that there's enough room for more than one community-slice to interact
within a project without it being a detriment to the health of the
community.

(I am however scared to see 'synergistic' in an email to a dev list.
Martin sneaks one in, and suddenly everyone has to use the word. It's
dangerous I tell you.)

Treat my +1 as a +0.001 though, as I'm hardly an active part of the
community nowadays.
