http://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=36626 [EMAIL PROTECTED] changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Status|RESOLVED |REOPENED Resolution|WONTFIX | ------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2005-11-23 00:37 ------- Thanks Jeremy. I have reopened the bug. I'm sure there are people getting value out of it the way it currently is - probably people who remembered about the LinkedHashMap, unlike me :) - but it's obvious that you'd get value out of it the other way around. In which case there are bound to be others who would too. I propose that we do one of two solutions: 1) Add a new attribute for options that are accepted in the value->label order rather than the current label->value order. I'm struggling to name this attribute, perhaps optionsValueLabel and in which case we could add optionsLabelValue as well and deprecate options. 2) Add a boolean attribute to choose between the two orderings. The original ordering would be the default. I'm also struggling with naming this one, perhaps optionsValueLabel="true" ? I'm leaning toward option 1 as it is less to type when you're using the tags. The attribute names still feel a little verbose though.
