Yes, we definitely want tests. Check out

GridTestMixin] and the way that it is used by
[source:src/allmydata/test/test_repairer.py?rev=20091005221849-66853-3d1e85b7a2af40ddd07f07676ffb8f6dcc57d983#L397
test_repairer.py]. I guess we could use that pattern to set up a test
grid with the shares stored on servers in a specific pattern such as
discussed in comment:52 and comment:53.
