Folks: This is it! This is the weekend to finish the remaining four "Priority: critical" tickets for Tahoe-LAFS v1.6! Then we'll have a week of testing, documentation, packaging, and writing release notes, and next weekend will be the weekend to release Tahoe-LAFS v1.6!
So, if you want to help with the critical tickets, see The Roadmap -- http://allmydata.org/trac/tahoe/roadmap , and join us on IRC this weekend! Also if you want to help with other tickets! And please submit your patches and your code-reviews as soon as possible -- we don't want to risk the stability of the 1.6 release by accepting lots of patches at the last minute, and of course we'll be as picky as ever about unit tests and code review. I'm very excited about Tahoe-LAFS v1.6. This release is going to ROCK! :-) If you don't want to contribute to any tickets, but you want to play with Tahoe-LAFS and test it out for us, then get on IRC this weekend! :-) irc.freenode.net channel #tahoe-lafs (Actually we don't really rely on IRC to coordinate our hacking -- that is all done through the trac for issue and patch management and through the mailing list for general ideas and opinions and strategy. IRC is mostly for joking around and getting the warm fuzzy feeling that you are hacking in the company of others and not alone.)
