This is a known bug/missing feature: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=507645 Fixing this would be a lot of work (at least for me that doesn't know much XUL) so I just made all fetches in the account creation wizard silently fail on cert errors. Now I think everything is ready :) Cheers!
